Morrant pads problem
« on: November 23, 2011, 05:39:14 PM »

Got my new morrant pads today and I'm a bit disappointed.

Pads are very light but came with the Velcro straps wrapped round onto the front of the pads. As a result there are a few marks on the front and more worryingly there are a couple of large dints in the foam that won't smooth out.

Looks worse than in the pics below

Did anyone elses ultralites turn up like this?

Given how much I've paid for them it's a bit disappointing and I think I'm going to call them tomorrow and return the pads. Just worried that if the Velcro straps can cause this much damage what will a ball do.

Well a ball wont be pressed into them for how ever long they have been sat in the warehouse.

a ball also wouldnt act like velcro does against the material, it is annoying though as you'd think they'd be aware of it!

Nothing to worry about in my opinion. If youre not happy give them a ring and explain.

Mine came the same way and after a couple of months it isn't that noticeable.

either send them back or take them as they are.
I suspect this is damage from transit, so you may have to pick them up direct from morrants.

a few months in you kit bag and they will have these marks anyway

Thanks for the replies on this, I like to keep my kit in good condition so I've ended up returning them to morrant as for the price I wasn't entirely happy. I'm sure the would have been fine but decided to send them back.

To their credit morrant arranged for the pads to be collected and will even pay for that if they agree that the dints in the pads are actual damage.
