Warner is in the test team ? Dearey me australia

Not really - I appreciate that people will thinkof him first for his exploits in 20/20, but anyone who knows cricket can see that the lad has decent technique - certainly better than the likes of Hughes and Khawaja - allied to superlative hand eye coordination.  I'm not saying that he might not be "found out" on an English greentop - but lets face it, that could just as easily apply to all of the modern greats.  In addition, he is a superb fielder and, by reputation, a sound team man.  I reckon its a decent call...

Agree think when you watch him play twenty20 he plays orthodox shots rather than massive swipes across the line; however disagree about him looking better than Khawaja, think he looks a cut above the rest with both his temperament and skill, I think he'll go far!

As others have said, he can't be any worse than Hughes who seems to be surviving on a reputation that has been very cheaply won. Then again, I think Clarke is massively overrated so what do I know? Is Marsh fit?

Khawaja may be special - tough one to call on his form so far - but if you look back at my comment I was specifically referrign to technique and I do not believe that anyone would take Khawaja in that regard, what with the closed stance, hooked bat face and, erm, idiosynchratic choice of balls to play at!  Put simply, with Warner, the building blocks are there - whether he is good or great is of course open to debate, but he has the tools with which to make a shot at it!

Cutting should be playing tbh. Best player in the shield this year, plus he is a queenslander so he knows the conditions. I think they've only gone with Starc because he is a leftie, which I think is ridiculous reason to select someone.

Starc did get a 5 for a few weeks ago in the shield game against Qld, but three of them were 9,10,11.

I think they've got it wrong, but I hope the 2 bowlers play well and prove me wrong.

The stuff people are saying about Warner opening, could the same stuff be said about McCullam?

Cutting is also 24, so he is 3 years older than he other 2, so he would know his game better.

Just noticed that my last post was my 1000th, yay for me haha.
