Anyone noticed how Williamson has blatently left only the cherries on the middle of his bat lol ?

Indeed!

Only middle!! How surprising!

Maybe he used nail polish mate ;-)

Must say Williamsons stance is quite good, looks solid!

Langer mate, Starc do look like a decent bowler.

Not aruging with that, he certainly does, but;

Cutting 4 games 23 wickets @ 14.65

Starc 4 games 15 wickets @ 31.53

Pattinson 2 games 9 wickets @ 24.00

Starc has looked much better than Pattinson so far.

Don't know if you guys can tell I'm miffed, being a Queenslander and all, haha

You know how it goes,

Qld has 5 outright wins out of 5 games, but they only had 1 representative in the Australia A game last week.

To the surprise of no one, 2 more NSW players in the Australian team. Which now makes it.

Hughes
Warner
Khawaja
Clarke
Haddin
Starc
Cummins

Although Warner almost left NSW as he wasn't getting a go in FC, but he stayed and that now adds to the NSW, oops, I mean Australian team, lol ;)

NZ 4/93 after being 0/45. A wicket to every one of the bowlers so far.

Theres alot in this deck. Type of deck which Anderson and co would go right through the Australian batting. Vettori and maybe Martin might have similar luck later in the test.

On a sidenote - Given how Green it is, I wouldnt be backing any player to score a 100

It is lively, turn and bounce for Lyon on day one, so Vettori will be looking forward to having a bowl.

On the pitch - this is the first time it has been used in 15 years for test cricket, and it deffinately has something in it.

Bloody Queensland weather, bad light has stopped play atm but there are massive storms about, and the radar shows it will piss down very soon. Gotta love QLD, looks all good, then BAM! Storm, ahahha.

In his first 44 test matches he averaged less than 16. Over the last 3 years he has averaged more than 40, what a champion.

Assuming he stays fit, he could get the 5000 runs/400 wicket combo.

From Wikipedia:

"Although it took Vettori 47 Tests to score his first 1,000 runs at an average of 17.24, the second thousand took him just 22 Tests at a rate of 42.52 per innings."

Indeed! He is a top bloke too! Very good person and cricketer too!

Isn't that highest average from a New Zealand batsman for past 2-3 years? LOL

Any reason why no-one recently has been using the latest Kookaburra stuff they are all using last years bats?? Also it's so nice to hear Richie Benaud commentate, I could listen to him all day unlike Mark Nicholas and Bob Willis....
Because it's the current seasons equipment, boxing day will be when we get a sneak peek of next seasons kit.

i didnt really know of the guy till buzz made me watch some vids.

he is a very clean hitter of the ball! i like him :)

Ryder is my hero! Tubby left-hand mid-order bat, and right arm medium bowler - likes a drink too!
