The modern pads are very similar to chase's from last season!

The modern pads are identical to Chase R11's just different colours, their 'Storm' pads are almost identical to Chase 175's from the season before (with a couple of weird gold bits added) and I'm sure I've seen the gloves somewhere before as well!

Seems to me there's no such thing as original designs of softs anymore, just different 'options' available from the manufacturer in India. Mix and Match as you choose and see what comes out and don't give a crap if they are identical to someone else's product that was on the market before yours..... ;)

Put it like this, they definitely came from the same place originally! There were enough differences to argue that a choice was involved between the two though! My point applies to all companies though, no one (to my knowledge) is exempt. I hear companies talk about 'designing' new gloves but it's 'design' within the parameters set by the manufacturer, it never seems to be blank paper design....I suppose it's simply a cost thing....
