I think the crazy winter spending spree some of us have been on has been to reduce the winter depression!

I have to agree with that -.- 6 bats, a pair of pads, thigh pads, 6 pairs of gloves and a pair of spikes later, I can't wait for the season to being

I never got round to doing a topic on the tours we do. Have a look at www.spanishcrickettours.com.
If anyone wants a pre season or after season tour I will make sure you are looked after.

We're meant to be going on tour to Yarm in April, but are just back from a weekends training at Lords which was great fun and hopefully also very useful.

i think we're playing two mixed games, yeah judging from the pics its a beaut doubt there will be much of a crowd tho lol, could be lively in early April as well. Do you recommend any clubs, decent restaurants, breakfast bars? think there's around 20+ going so should be great!!

Below is the biggest 'Stadia' we have in Cornwall so cant wait lol

Have to admit I've never been to Blackpool to socialise - my missus works in Blackpool, but if we go out we tend to stick in Preston.

England women are playing India at this ground (Truro) this summer, there will be a temporary stand on the boundary this photo was taken from I imagine. The boundary to the right has permanent seats along the fence and the boundary to the left is a grassy picnic area with a river in the background.

The other team we're playing on Tour is Bac/ee preston if thats makes sense to anyone who plays up that way!

BAC/EE is British Aircraft Corporation / English Electric; 2 Aircraft manufacturers who merged in the 20th century. They were later known as British Aerospace and are currently part of BAe Systems, my current employer. The BAe factory in Preston was shut and knocked down in the 90's, but the sports and social club it left behind is still going strong.

Be careful on the way to the ground, as there is another Cricket Club on the same road, Preston CC (my old team) - people often get the 2 mixed up, including a Times journalist who was supposed to be doing a feature on Preston CC but inadvertently ended up doing a piece based on the wrong club!

I can't recommend highly enough the pub next door to BAC/EE, The Continental. Not really a party pub, but serves great food and definitely the best beer and cider in Preston, quite often accompanied by live music
