Maybe I just got a bad one. Or you got a good one. Or we have wildly different pick-up measurement things.
The pick up index was 1...

I think people are so fixated with edge size because it's the easiest way to judge the size of a bat.....

Hoever I think people are starting to wise up to the fact edge size isn't the be all

Only in these cricket forums. The whole world is still obsessed with big edges. Just had a brief glance at the new SG range of bats. Man---their profile has changed so much in the last 3-4 years -- it is unbelievable  :o

Big edges look more awesome than thin edges.

Got to agree with you there. Kookaburra sum it up IMO, all there bats his year are obsessed with edge size. They know what people want though, I just hope the GM 1885 profile will get popular

the ultimate edge fixation would be the gm scoop. Taking all the wood out of the middle!

People who have it on here, seem to be liking it though

Give me a Purist shape over your typical SS shape every day. Saying this I have an SS atm with 37mm edges and maximum concaving.

Really, really like the new Halo and 1885 from GM. If only I had money.........
