GM Halo or GN Oblivion

Pretty self explanatory really! Went down Somerset Cricket Shop this morning saw a GN Oblivion Players and a GM Halo Original, both very nicely balanced bats. And really don't know what one to choose, although will order online where I know I can get it cheaper. What would you guys choose out of both, or if any similar please post! :)

With bats I would have picked the better of the bats you saw as may get cheaper but may not have same pickup & feel

I'll try find one with better willow. The GN willow wasn't as nice as expected for Grade 1 willow.
If I was rich, I'd of got both and there'd of been no confusion!

Buy the one that picks-up better and has a better middle. Performance is the key and not looks, though I agree you would like to have the best looking bat for the money. You don't want a good/better looking bat that is just average in performance.

I have seen some really nice Oblivion and Powerbow bats in 5 star, players and LE. The Quantum's are understated and the 4 I looked at today were just amazing for a 5 star or players, with great pick-up and middles.

Try H4L very nice bats

Well around £220 ish. I don't really pick bats for looks, but the two I saw today felt as good as they looked!

I would recommend a GN over the GM. I have always found the GNs to play better faster and last longer.

For £220 you have many options - custom made bats for H4L or Redback or a Warsop.

If I had that sort of money to spend on a new bat, I would go to a custom bat maker and probably choose H4L. They seem to produce some nice bats and people on here seem to like them. Plus as they are custom made you can get your ideal bat made as you like.

But if you are stuck between the Halo and Oblivion, personally I would go for the Oblivion.

I am tilting towards the Oblivion, as Liam said matching softs. I quite like the look of the GN Quantum Elite Gloves. And I don't need new pads!
