ASBO - Anti-Social Batting Order.

Rorschasch - bad boy anti hero of the Watchman film "You don't seem to understand - I'm not facing you - you're facing me!"

Saint - classic design for front foot players.

Sinner - designed for more carefree players.

Ladies, Gents & Fattus,

We are working on a great new 'academy' sized bat, and creating a new model around it.

It will be halfway between a harrow and a short handle, handmade with the same care and attention as all our bats, from grade one willow from our own plantation.

Any name ideas out there?

We want to appeal to the 13-16 age range, but obviously without being patronising- the whole point of the model is treating cricketers of this age exactly the same as adults...

Thanks

Personally the Black Cat name puts me off. Too many connections to a crap football team from a small town in County Durham

Bombshell

A word which implies surprise, hopefully players of this age can surprise and impress the opposition despite their age, or least that will be what they're hoping for.

Has a ring to it as well, Black Cat Bombshell.

No, I support the mighty Toon, and therefore I'm a member of the Toon Army!

How about Hooligan for a harrow Joker and Scoundral for a harrow Phantom.

'Diabolist' for a light bat with a long middle for wristy players who enjoy a bat which allows them to pick their gaps.

Or perhaps 'The Alchemist' for the bat with good ping for its size (sort of like a surprise bat which goes even though it doesn't look it. This could come in at a lower price point which would be more affordable for us younger cricketers!)

Trickster or Comic - so it keeps with the theme of your other bats

Wow- Opener, for some reason I missed your suggestion first time on 22nd Feb- it would have saved a fair bit of time had I seen it!

Clearly I agree with you that that's a good name!!

I will have to think of some sort of prize nevertheless.

For those of you that are confused- check our Twitter (@blackcatcricket) for a tiny preview of the new Prodigy stickers....
