I did have a little swing with this bat and it's impressive!
The pick-up was a little heavier (as it logically would be!) but it is lighter than I would expect!
But with a decent grip on, it would pick up even better, so not too bad!
On a lower, slower wicket, this bat would be ideal and I have no hesitation whatsoever in thinking that it would be amazing!  8)

Or was that an identical bat I was admiring?

Pete, you did indeed wave this about, needs a grip or 2 but it should be amazing, however you can have it free of charge when you reduce your collection to 0 bats, can you do it???

I thought I'd also add that this cleft would have been very cheap from the merchant, it has a flaw, anyone spot it?

Bat looks great but now i do have a question, forgive my poor attempt at drawing this but here it goes.

Could you possible create a couple of dips in the back toe area of the bat, lets say each worth an ounce or half that run up about 4-6 inches from the toe up, would that help with the pick up without compromising the strength/power of the bat too much...i thought abt doing this to one of my bats, they dont need to be big but rather small amount of wood reduced..

Grooves in the way you have described would lower the weight and improve the balance but would weaken the area.

On right edge (first picture), seems like a water damage.

Correct sir?

Even if the grooves were really small, like may be 5-7mm deep? i guess it would

But if there were grooves in the toe wouldnt that reduce the volume of wood behind the toe and deaden the toe as well as weakening it? ???
