I love edge branding, but dislike the 'overburn' which ruins it.

It's a bit like the effect loose bowels have on your u-bend - if you're not in control, frankly it ends up a mess!

the problem with this, especially is that you will be churped in the field for being forever stuck on "99" - which some people will say that the will take that - but personally I just don't think "99" is enough. Like Cattus with cake...

These bats are absolutely quality sticks, I know the care that has gone into choosing the right shape and the right weights and from the ones that I have seen with Canners they have been sensational - I mean seriously well made bats - but if you are going to call yourself blank bats - please take a leaf out of the Ronseal world

Tom do you touch the iron to check how hot it is?

No I stamp it onto the work bench to make sure it's hot enough before doing it on the bat mate...either that or get an old bat and use that to make sure it's good and ready

Don't put your finger on it Canners in case it's hot, use your tongue as it is wet and thus cool...

About the most useful thing I learnt from a 4 year chemistry degree was that you can use the fleshy part of your hand just between thumb and wrist to touch against stuff briefly to see how hot it is before burning yourself.

Dunno how well it would work on a brand of course but works well with pans, etc.

It is apparently in an effort to:

a)  Increase my already staggering sexual performance

b) To decrease  my impressive level of flatulence in the marital bed. Apparently 'squeezing out a cracker' whilst she's reading Marie Claire is not the done thing.  :(

I'm now picturing a bat with 100s of Ayrtek brands all over it.
