All mongoose bats have a splice, but how it is positioned is crucial in providing the larger hitting area.

Tom, how much shorter should the blade be on this edition of the CoR3?

1.5" if it was standard.

Folks, forgive my ignorance but what are the advantages of this style of bat as compared to a standard one?

This one is 3/4" shorter than a standard SH, so it's certainly not standard....

Had it down at nets again tonight. It really is lovely to use! Impressed the guys there too (different team from last night).

Dear Tim2000s,

I am reaching out to you since you are a rare actual owner of a Mongoose Bat that I have come across. I am keen on a Mongoose Torq, since I can get my hands on a Premium Torq for relatively less price. Thank you for the detailed review of your stick.

Since its been more than a year after your original post, I was wondering if you had any comments on the life of these bats? Do they break easily, do they become less responsive with age etc.

Thanks immensely for your feedback.
