Another cold day but another win. Due to our (No Swearing Please) '2nd' ground the opposition managed to get 101-7 in their 40 overs, even shots creamed out of the middle wouldn't go for 4 and I believe there were 9 fours the whole game. I got 8-2-17-2 and was down at 7 again so didn't bat as we chased down the total fairly easily.

It really isn't fun playing on our other pitch as the outfield is rarely cut and it's an artificial. Might not play home fixtures until we go back to our normal ground which could be June

Boggo had 30, Tilley had 36, Jake Hayes got 20, Fiss got 20, and that was about it. Typical early season pitch.

Good work, have no idea who boggo or tilley are but good work on the win!

First game of the season, me and my old man prepared a pitch that looked pretty good, possibly could of had less grass on it, but looked good. Playing against a team from Axminster called All Saints. I can't remember what happened at the toss, however we batted first, was in after the 5th ball of the match. Started slow, but managed to get 70, before getting bowled by a ball which seamed back in, couldn't really do much about it. We managed to knock up 222 - 4 from our 40 overs. Lovely tea as usual. Went out to field, skittles them for 62. Took a catch, and had 0-10 off 4 overs. Pitch played alright, was just pretty slow and low.

Also, it bloody freezing!

It was so cold, my fingers were numb inside my batting gloves until I warmed up! A couple of shots off the toe really hurt!

Then went out to field with 3 underarmours and a jumper, the sun then preceded to show itself!

played in the 1st team warm up game and we won, was meant to come bat at 9 as it was my debut but got 207-6 then fielded dropped a catch but fielded well on the whole and bowled the best i have for about 2 seasons and got a wicket with the worst ball of the day ended with figures of 4-1-17-1. Ended up winning with them only getting 127

We took a bit of pasting yesterday in our 1st league game of the season. Bowled the oppo out for 152, my figures 3-0-14-1, and we were all out for 81 with me last man standing 10*. The wicket was incredibly low, our pro (1 test match for Pakistan in 1989) took a wicket with a double bouncer!

Batted so badly on Sat. I would swear but don't want to get banned haha! Got 7 but nothing clicked and we were chasing 200 so went for a stupid release shot.

Managed to forget that horror and opened the batting today; got a nice 46 but then got undone by a straight ball that kept about 10cm off the ground - was annoyed as I fancied my chances for a 50/100...

Still glad to have spent some time in the middle though!
