Yeah I thought the BR ones were and the Ayrtek but apparently not lol.

If so 90% of pads on todays market won't be 'traditional' style.

why wont they be classed as traditional? They have a cane face so if eagles definition is a pad with a cane face then surly these fit the bill.

the gm 909 or le pads are brilliant and traditional.
I appreciate not a small brand...

And the sps..... So come on guys let's explain what is a traditional pad and why, why some are and some are not... Are we talking only about cane fronts, or the pi, merriskin uppers used etc etc bit of a grey area as far as I'm concerned. Would be interested in hearing what everyone thinks

What about Kookaburra's pads? Best on the market in my opinion. Traditional in design, modern in looks. Where do they fit?

Haha did a bit – but I’m sure my view of “traditional” varies greatly from others.

The reason I’m saying all cane front is because the lines have definitely blurred between traditional and modern.

Previously I would have considered the Salix Pod Pro to be Traditional with a hint of modern – but where do we draw the line?

What about Kookaburra's pads? Best on the market in my opinion. Traditional in design, modern in looks. Where do they fit?

Agreed, some of the high end Kooks are all cane front and have very good styling and ergonomics. (Must admit the garish bright colours are a take it or leave it kind of thing)

Perhaps I should have left it at “all cane” fronts rather than calling them “traditional” as well

Anymore for anymore?

Topic header updated.

Ok changing the goal posts a bit but side bolsters not so concerned about. (feel a few 'I'm not playing' comments coming along...lol)

Both Blueroom  and Arytek are nice but not all cane. SPS has all cane.

2011 SPS are my preferred, with the very traditional pin tucked side bolster, SS legends, basically the same pad, come from the same factory and fit exactly the same though a few style differences, the 2012 GM LE's are very nice too, though they run more canes than the rest
