RPC arrived today
« on: April 04, 2012, 12:46:41 AM »

Thought i would put up a little post about my RPC that arrived today :) Initially i was looking at one of the BRs that Prowannabe had up here but as it turned out it was my lucky day, the specs that I wanted were not available so had this one made to my specs by RP. Love the RPC branding and service was great too :), thanks Pro & Rob

I have done some minor tapping with the mallet and bounced the ball on it a little bit and gotta say I love it. Weight asked for was 2.10 and its definitely a big bat for the weight, picks up beautifully and you know its a big chunka chunk but light...anyways this baby is gonna get a good run on Sat/Sun in the nets,,,  now here are some pics...

Looks lovely mate, I hope it serves you well and more importantly you score tons of runs with it

How many grips do you have currently? 2?

Looks amazingly chunky for the weight. Has the SRT profile?

Thanks CD, Yeah 2 octopus grips and thickish oval handle, feels nice :)

Hmm i didn't ask for SRT profile but yes looks a little that way, i wanted a combo or new wave / swell without concaving (minimal concaving) and light pick up,,basically asked for all the things that make the bat big and bottom heavy but also keep the weight at 2.10 :) and somehow RP did it

Could you please post a picture of the spine from the toe when you get the chance?

Did you get it approved by little J by the way?  :D

Will do K, Jeev was looking at it and my kit today and smiling so i think its approved :), although i think he is more interested in climbing in the bag than anything else...

As requested here are the toe pics, apologies in advance for multiple pics as I am not sure what would fulfill the request...

Love the profile. Lot of wood right up to the splice. Must be having a very good pickup.

Tush, they are fine pictures but I think Kaustav wanted bat to be positioned horizontally but these are completely fine too! :D

Lovely bat indeed, love the way it has subtle/no concaving.

These are fine too! Thanks Tushar  :)

Indeed-- no/minimal concaving and that profile makes that wood supercherishable!! This Rob Pack guy sure does know how to makes them bats  :D

Glad you are pleased Tushar. I hope you really enjoy the bat and score plenty with it  :)

It's a big bat and as Tush said he wanted a bat with minimal to no concaving but a weight of 2.10 and nice balance. It does look a little like an srt I guess. Have fun with it mate and keep me posted as you use it more, they only get better  8)

It's not a Sachin profile, that is a Yuvi profile.
