Shaun O'Brien on here (my team mate) wanted some pads and gloves and after a quick conversation with Canners we managed to sort out a deal. As Shaun was at work we decided to get the pads delivered to mine, which I'm glad about.
After being posted on Monday I received the two parcels today which were very well packaged, good impressions. After opening the pads I was amazed how high the quality was with the finishing. These pads are not only very light, but extremely protecting too as well as being comfortable, in all honestly a serious rival to my Morrant pads which are £40 more. They only have two straps as opposed to the normal three which some people may be concerned about however this is not an issue at all as they keep the pads firmly in position without compromising comfort. Unlike the SS, BDM, BAS similar Indian models these have a PU facing which is in my opinion a much better option for day to day use. For £50 you will struggle to find an equally all round brilliant set of pads.
Onto the gloves, as I have big hands these were a little small for me so if I had some I would go for large mens. Despite my love for shark tooth/block gloves I was won over somewhat by these sausage style gloves. I was sceptical of the flexibility and comfort of the gloves however neither of these were an issue as they've managed to make the gloves quite flexible whilst still keeping enough material in there to protect against some sharp bowling. The genuine Pittard palms are a bonus too for those who are into that kinda thing (like me) and as with the pads, the gloves are very light too. The branding is only on the velcro cuff so the rest is very plain and simple which may be to some member's taste on here. As with the pads they are supremely good value for money with the gloves being £30, try finding high quality sausage gloves with Pittards for less!
Before I let you see pictures I must say thanks to Canners for an excellent service and I hope BlankBats stay around because the softs are very good. If you have any questions then fire away, and if you're indecisive whether to get some BB gear then go for it, you won't regret it.
