Would that work? as cross laminated sheets of Kevlar, Carbon Fibre and Glass Fibre will give a stiffness and strength but what about spring? Having had a few chats about making a bat like this with Malik was told it simply wouldn't work and they make some of the best sticks in the world.

Having messed around at the end of hockey sessions for many years a 36.5" 565g (about 1lb 2oz) stick goes like the clappers if you 'middle' one whilst playing cricket, I've cleared the fence at one end of the pitch from standing on the goal line at the other end of the pitch before but it isn't easy, that is probably a 1 in every 250 hit at over 90 metres but you can consistently hit over 3 quarters of the length of the pitch which would be nearly 70 metres from a very slow delivery.

Quite a few of the sticks have hollow tubes inside, I'd imagine a carbon bat to just be a bigger version of this - http://www.grays-hockey.co.uk/technology.asp see the GX Turbo Torque cross section about 2/3rs down the page,

As you say I'm not sure it would work scaled up but I'd still like to offer my services to try one to prove it doesn't work  :)

i'd put on an anti scuff sheet which was made of a special rubber and glue which turned my bat into a skyer like thing

It has to be a laminate imo with a carbo handle and a 1.5inch shorter blade. Made out of a 'proper' low density cleft, preferably one of those oversized clefts and a lamitoe to finish it off

Laminated
 face= normal lush willow
Rest if the bat: Extra dry willow might get something with 50mm edges weighing 2.7
