Sounds like a cracker! ^^

Played my first T20 tonight at Bristol CC, we batted first and hit 138, I hit a steady 42 at the top of the order with a couple of 6's. We won quite comfortably by 20 odd in the end, picked up a wicket at the end but was pretty dark to be fair so I'm putting it down to that fact!

I'm grateful for being further north than most people, buys another 15 mins of daylight during midsummer  :)

I had my first t/20 as captain on our midweek team Tuesday, got 5 off 7 before launching one straight up, after 5 overs and 5 balls we were 68-2 before the heavens opened and called our game off. Still unbeaten.

Sat out our 1st XI cup game last night as a precaution, we won well beating our close rivals by 30ish runs as we got 172 and our skipper getting 84* off 55

Played in the Somerset Cup last night against Taunton, batted first and scored 168, came in at 7 (oddly, after being used as a pinch hitter in saturdays, but maybe the experiment has ended lol). Had them 112-9 or so after their 20. Waste of an evening!

I played wednesday in a friendly league, Batted 3 got 14 then I bowled 3-0-11-2

It was a bit rubbish as we had to play on an artificial track which does nothing to early season batting form.

Scores - 150 All out for us 20 overs
Them - 110 All out from 20 overs

4-0-8-3 last night, restricted them to 69-8 (one lad got 42 of them!) and knocked them off 1 down. Easy stuff!

Played my first game of the season on Wednesday evening for my village team. Almost the best possible start, had we not lost. I was asked to open the bowling which was a shock but we were missing a few regular bowlers. First ball was short and wide which the batsman duly smashed, but only into the chest of our close in cover fielders chest. He held onto it and the batsman trudged off in disgust!

They got 118 which was more than they should have on a slow outfield. We started too slowly, including me, and we slipped well behind the run rate. We needed 75 from the last 8 overs. Then needed 4 to win off the last ball which our star batsman got caught out off on the boundary by one of our own players who we had lent them as they were short. I'd gone in at 5 and finished 54 not out. Much better start than last year's first ball duck that I got. Just a shame we didn't win.

Scored 15 this evening in a t20, got a wicket bowled 1-0-3-1 which I'm happy about against my old club as well!

Our 20/20 cup game got called off two weeks in a row, finally a decent bit of weather comes around and we don't have enough players to play :( Had to concede the match so we are now out of the cup and I STILL haven't played a 20/20 yet this season..

Had one last night, 4-0-14-3 and we knocked it off 6 down chasing 111. Got a cup match tonight for my weekend side, much tougher standard!
