Thanks for being proactive with this Number4 - I think it is important members feel that they can influence how the forum is run.

my one question is that a "ball park figure" and an "indicative price" are pretty much the same thing.

If there is an strong preference for change, then there will be no obstacles for changing the rules, if the vote ends relatively evenly then we will leave it as it is for now.

Despite feelings from certain people I think it's fair to say the members have spoken...

It's a landslide!!!

Ok a small pebble rolled off the peak of the mountain  8)

Although I'd still say landslide seeing as its the highest number of people who have voted on a poll on the forum  ;)

It's a high proportion of those who have voted Tim, which must be representative?

Also, what percentage of members post and contribute - I'll bet a hug percentage have 10 posts or under?

Looking at the stats there are usually about 240-250 members on the forum.

on that basis we are ideally looking for about 120+ members to have voted. At the moment we have 88.

on that basis - if you read this - PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLL!!!

thanks

I think it's pretty conclusive.

Just state a selling price.

Its not difficult to see that the people who have voted are the ones who are actually interested to voice their opinion. Many simply read when they are online which might not be too often.
Go with the people who have voted  as these are the people that are interested to actually buy something.
I for one am not interested in anything that doesnt have a price guide. If you want a sale and dont wish to have timewasters haggling then stick a realistic price on and sell it quickly. Maybe some people just like the fun , banter and enless bumps on their for sale post so they dont state a price?

I am using a stat based on usage in the last 5 months, not last 5 years, hence the difference. But I get the message.

Most suppliers on here provide a figure whether including or discluding postage as there are members like myself in foreign parts..
My experience with forum members is that they provide a 'ball park' figure they are hoping to get and if it doesn't sell then the negotiations start which they either accept or not....
Seems to have worked well in the past so not quite sure what has changed except for that custom made 'best bat ever affair' which was amusing for a while...
