A person at my new club I had never met until now was using a talisman. Very decent stick. said His dad got it for him of a bat collector he works alongside with? (I am thinking Hosk!) And saw a guy the other day using the white/blue/white chevron from S&J cricket.

No. 3 or 4 batsman for the opposition today with a lovely looking Laver but ... out first ball as he sweetly hit straight to mid-off... sounded nice though...

spooky!  Out oppo no.4 had a nice looking Laver, he looked a good bat as well, but he drilled his 6th or 7th ball on the uo, straight to cover.

Funny old world!

I guess it just goes to show that it's not the bat but the one who wields it.. although you can never discount the confidence factor...

Bt blades are made by Ben thane, he plays for Hook in the Southern League and the bats are popular in both southern and hampshire leagues. I've never owned one but know lots of blokes who swear by them. I think Ben was making bats at Chase before going alone?

1st game for a new club in T20 last night, one of our openers was using a Choice Willow Excalibur, I hadn't seen any Choice Willow bats in the flesh but it looked decent.  He made 73 off 58 deliveries so a decent batsman but the bat looked like it went well and he hit a couple of sweet 6s down the ground without much effort.

Also one of the oppo had an old GM Maxi that looked in very good condition, don't think it gets much use!

Someone was wearing an Ayrtek yesterday, it's was one of the ones from the early days with no pumps or ACIS. I told the guy to get in touch with tom for a big chin grill as his head was massive!
