I usually have just my back foot inside the crease. But on a bouncy track I would be looking to attack off the back foot so would probably not be edging forward in my stance - interesting how methods vary even at club level.

The umpires we have are league appointed so although they can sometimes be terrible they aren't usually accused of bias. Did have a shocker last year when 3 of our top order were given out LBW by an umpire whos son just happened to play for the team challenging us at the top of the league. We had the last laugh though after eventually winning and he rang his son to be told they'd been turned over by the team at the bottom of the league!
