Masuri/Slazenger Helmets
« on: May 15, 2009, 06:49:19 PM »

I did not realise until today that masuri and slazenger are EXACTLY the same helmets... I went to try on a masuri today and I wasn't that impressed with the comfort, and I think the men's large 60-63cm is not big enough for me! The chin strap does not get all the way round my chin, and its a very tight squeeze! Can you get a larger size?

no large is the biggest, all you can do is get the large and put the strap at the back of the head all the way back and the chin strap as big as it will go without the chin cup

i've got the normal and done the same thing. quite surprised i fitted into a normal as i do have a big head lol.  few of my teammates are getting masuris now after trying mine on after being unimpressed with albion helmets.

I ended up buying a masuri anyway off tinternet and for some reason this one doesn't really have the same problem!! I measured my head at 61cm, so I thought this has got to work somehow it says 60-63 for crying out loud! I'm so glad I bought it, its vision is so good. The chin strap is a tight squeeze, I think that is a bit of a design floor, they could easily add a tiny extra bit of strapping to be adjusted. I'm just so impressed with the grill settings on the masuri, you can get the grill nice and tight to the face, instead of it sticking out and ruining your peripheral vision, and I have a massive gap where I can fit a ball through it easily!!
I've had two innings with it so far, a duck on Saturday lol, but then 100 not out on Sunday
