Why do you use a different helmet in nets and matches? I'd have expected that to be one item that it would make the most sense to have the same for both given the difference in grill and peak and the impact on seeing the ball?

Well my league team wear green and it was cheaper to buy a new lid than refurb my Ayrtek. That said I might well use my Ayrtek on Sundays as the teams I play for wear navy gear. The visibility and weight are pretty similar between the two, so I'm happy changing between them.

thank you, yes they are quite diverse. I bat anywhere from 1-11 on all sorts of wickets so it is good to have a choice. rarely face any real pace so heavier bats are OK.

Very jealous of some of the lovely looking bats...here's my kit on a budget...

MSR Net bat - 2lb7oz
1 pair Woodworm Premier Batting Gloves
1 pair Woodworm Firewall Pro Batting Gloves

Finally...this looks like what's going to be in my bag this year

Chase Volante (2.11?)
Vantage Volt (2.10)
Dynadrive (2.10)

Nixon 964 gloves
Redback modern

Nixon 964 pads

Kook padded shorts

Asics Gel 180s

Albion something or other...

Pod One bag (which I have finally worked out how to pack properly)

Unlikely (he says) to change, apart from the Volt getting refurbed and perhaps my beloved 666 going back in the bag if it is salvageable - heavy on pads though (bat rubs against back pad in my stance) so that may be the only addition.
