So you went for the AJK in the end then mate, mine is by far the best bat I have owned. The power these things pack is just unreal, only used it in a few net sessions against the slower bowlers but it is a gun.

Thats looks a great profile, i am guessing a high middle - 2'9 lbs your usual weight? nice bit of willow that...

Weight is 2lb9oz with GM control grip and hammer edge.

Middle is mid-low, more mid. Been effortless to find the middle - very happy and high satisfied net sessions so far.

Andrew mentioned these briefly when he rang us to discuss the possibility of us stocking salix in the future.

AJK range is exclusive to barringtons as a 'reward' for barringtons being Salix's best customer, which I think is a really good gesture.

Bat looks a corker mate. Really looking forward to the possibility of salix on my shelves in 2014

I agree. Andrew is a top guy.

Barringtons buy loads from Salix (still have a quite a few left from last year)

Couldn't resist. But go a amazing price from Barringtons as I am one of their big spend customer.

But feel its money well spent.

First time in years, I have felt satisfied with just one bat in my kit.

Also, the Legend pads and gloves are top class. I have always been a Salix & Puma softs, but both were late this year with their soft goods so went for the Legends.

That Ajk looks incredible!!

It had to be, to convince me to part with the kind of money I have paid.

Finally got time to take pics of the kit.

This is my kit for 2013.

The Legend softs are amazing. Better than last year.

The AJK limited edition bat is phenomenal (guess that explains whyI have only 1 bat in my kit)

My gn ignite stickered up as a puma calibre reserve

Hey, just took a few snaps of the bats I found lying around! ;)

My bats:

From left to right: Red Ink middling bat, Red Ink LE X1, Helios Atlas Reserve, Aldred Vintage Supreme, H4L Hattori DVL, Newbery Tour SPS, Laver & Wood Private Bin (Pete Hosk SCat profile), Vantage SCat series 3 LE and a Bulldog Amplus Pedigree Plus.

The brothers'/extra bats:

From left to right: EW middling bat, Vantage SCat series 1 LE (Lithium stickered), Salix Pod Players, Laver Special Reserve (GN Aus Legend profile), Kookaburra Ricochet 250, Blaze Dragon (Vitas bargain bat), Mongoose Torq Premium, Hunts County Triumph Cyclone and a Readers KW middling bat.

Friend's bats, bats in for repairs and youth bats:

Left to right: Kippax Leviathan G2 size 5, Kookaburra Kahuna 150 size 6, GM Purist 808 size 6, MSR for my friend, Woodworm Torch Premier (used to be mine, but now my friend's), Plain Pakistani made bat (same friend again, goes like a rocket!), Fusion (same friend again), Kookaburra Ice (not sure what grade) and a CA Plus 5000.

Fusion bat, experimental repair:

Kookaburra Ice to be repaired for a uni teammate:

Woodworm Torch Premier, my old bat, now a friend's, which has been glued up:

CA Plus 5000 with toe crack which ran up the edge, repaired:

And a few clefts for shaping over the Summer. 8)

I recorded a video of most of these, which was basically me rambling on for 45 mins, smacking bats with a mallet and bouncing a ball on them, and then decided to scrap it as I can't be bothered uploading. :-[

Lovely kit mate, but is it just me that would get very annoyed at having h4l everything and SPS gloves? I know it's a preference thing with everyone but all my kit match I dunno if it's habit or superstition now haha
