what can I do to get more weight into my drives and stay balanced

Lead with your head. If you're moving your head over the pitch of the ball then gravity will make sure your weight follows.

Just moving your feet isn't enough, as it's possible that your weight is still staying back.

A degree of timing is important too, to ensure you transfer your weight through the shot at the right time, but to be honest I'm not entirely sure that's something you can be coached.
