Patel for briggs... Why?
I prefer dernbach over bresnan, as I don't think he's been fully fit for a while now

I think Bresnan is in need of a break, although Dernbach does not to me seem to be of the requisite class for an international bowler.   Briggs should be in there for me, use Ravi as the third seamer!

I'd rather have seen Samit AND Briggs in. And Woakes. but I don't think that would happen. Woakes must've said something REEEALLY bad about someone in the England set-up to not get a game ahead of the woefully average Dernbach!

So kiesey dropped for bairstow who's struggled just as much? I can understand dropping him but why take out one of our best fielders when buttler is in the side? Patel in for Briggs is crazy and so is the inclusion of Ravi. I would have dropped kiesey, brought in lumb to open and given the gloves to jos!

Can someone please tell me whether English selectors have some sort of intimacy with Ravi Singh Bopara?

sounds like England have panicked a bit,I would of kept keiswetter in because he can change a game.
ravi in is a surprise,I think they are thinking we are covering all bases bowling and the extra batsman. He is woefully out of nick thou at present.

I actually like Bopara, prob in the minority on this forum, but I think he has all the ability in the world but needs a shrink rather than a batting coach.

Inspired selections! So bairstow gets 2 off 2 to add to his 34 so far this tournament. 3 less from one more innings than kiesey! Patel went for lots too!

Shocker from the umpire for hales!
