SS Heritage Review
« on: May 19, 2009, 02:26:27 PM »

Bought by me, for a friend. Asad as usual provided excellent service, and really competitive prices. This £105 bat certainly is worth every penny, the grains are near perfect, the balance and weight distribution sensational. I have had a hit with it myself, and it certainly has an adequate middle, which covers a good proportion of the bat. Really impressed with this new range from SS and I have to say, they have made a bit more of an effort with regard to the stickers, which look modern and classy. Bat arrived in 2 days, and 10/10 for service. If you are considering a GN or GM for the same price, think again, because consistent quality from SS is unmatchable at this low a cost.

Thankyou to Asad once again!

why the crappy facing on it? did it come like that? Can't really telll the grain because of it - stickers are an improvement for SS but look a bit like Redback rip-offs

those facings cry out 'crap', they are associated with grade 4's and beloe which are trying to hide the willow.  and this is obviously a decent bat so not sure what the facings doing on it?

I know, I was going to write that down too :)

Suppose the saying 'more grains the better' is true to some extent though

My conclusion is that Bats which have between 7 to 10 grains are better in terms of performance.

Looks good - as others have said can't see why they put that facing on it.
