Erm, I'm only on my second pair ever! Wore my vintage Mitre sausage style gloves in my first game, they felt ok but looked a bit 'dry' so I looked for some new gloves and bought a snazzy pair of splits. Both styles fine in respect of 'feel' but the splits look a bit more cutting edge and modern.

I currently use a really good pair of sausages, but sometimes find I lose grip with my top hand and feel like i can't get enough pressure on the handle and I know it's not the grip.

Do people find you can get a stronger grip in splits?!

I'd never been a fan of sausage style gloves until I bought a pair of Buzz's GM Original LE gloves just recently. They're much softer than previous sausage gloves I've used and as a result it's led me to think that maybe, if you want sausage gloves, you need to spend that little bit more money on them. An expensive pair of sausage gloves can be nearly as flexible and soft as the split style gloves. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a convert, but it has made me take sausage gloves in to consideration whereas before I just dismissed them.

I am big fan of spilt one but have been using Sausage style one from Blenheim and they feel very nice to bat with. I am a very bottom handed bat to having a slightly rigid glove means I am not choking the handle all the time.

Anyone ever tried using sausage on RH and spilt on LH? especially if you are too bottom hand heavy?

I wouldn't term GM Original LE as sausage as bottom hand has split fingers, so they are some where in between.

I really like those in split/sausage, I love the way they fit and clung onto my hand.

Top gloves as you said.

I find easier to grip with top hand when it comes to split because in sausage you need to exert extra force, the primary force of exertion is for 'bending' the gloves and then secondary to hold onto the handle. With split primary one is marginal.

Hope I made sense

I find very little difference between the two, it is about finding gloves that fit and ensuring that they are nicely worn in (see the GM LE gloves I sold!)

What is more important is having lucky gloves...

They are sausage gloves, just with a split added protection ontop of the main bit.

If someone came up with split glove on the top hand or atleast the ring finger and little finger alongwith sausage for the rest would help with both grip and protection.

What a great phrasing for the question - but a little bit personal!

I prefer Split, i dont find Sausage flexible enough
