Paceman Bowling Machine
« on: November 05, 2012, 04:05:02 AM »

Got an email from GCCC couple of days ago about 'Paceman Bowling Machine'.

Here is a video of it;

So I began my research and it did somewhat tempt me as it is $350 AUD only, was just checking and on KD Sports postage is $10 to Canada (this is certainly not possible).

Certainly a better tool to buy rather than a bat? Practice on driveway/garage, only concern is who will fetch those balls.

Thoughts?

Cheers

That's what I wondered too, 60mph seems a little slow.  A similar baseball unit information says that if you move it forward the reaction time will be lesser hence it will seem faster.  Not sure in reality if that's the case.  I wonder if anyone have actually used one of these.

We use a bola off 17 yards at the barn and at 60 mph you feel the difference.

Can these (Bola or Paceman) be operated/used on your own?

if you watch the video u will see the paceman can be used on its own its got that feeder that is spiral shaped and it relases the balls. 60mph is rubish tho unless its of 16 yards

approx 19 yards for 70mph, which is easily as quick as most club bowlers.

The paceman balls are very very light too.

I bought as v similar machine back in the US for about £100 a few years back.
