Puma Ballistic 2007: Pictures needed!
« on: November 12, 2012, 08:46:39 AM »

Hello there lads!

Having used an old Puma Ballistic (2005 I think) at the nets the other day, I'm after some pictures of one of these bats and am wondering if anyone has one/has had a go with one?

They're the ones with no concave, pretty small edges, and a pretty low middle.

There massive bats and so far all the pictures I could find was this one...

Thanks!  :D

Not sure if its the shape I'm after, but does look a cracking bat! Does it have a bit of concave on it?

Also, does anyone know what year Julian Millichamp left Puma?

Ballistic wasn't out in 2005, look what Geraint Jones, Simon Jones and Adam Gilchrist used in the 2005 Ashes

Ballistic is 2006. Classic was 2005. The Green ballistic is 2007 at the earliest as 2006 was the Orange ballistic.

JM left Puma in 2004.

Zero concaving on it pal.
Correct me if I am wrong does the carbon composite handle allow for an extra 3 oz to be added to the profile ?. My source of info is wikipedia.
Aswani / crossbat on ebay sells a Ballistic 6000 on auction every week .

Just remember that yours probably won't be as big due to the carbo handle. Think they save a few oz.

Oh yes, good point.

Were the handles fully carbon?

Handles were same as the C6+ and were made at the same place.

I've used a Navarone C6+ and it's a gun (excuse the pun!) .. still there in my coffin just in case :)  It doesn't sound great, sounds and feels a bit hard, but really goes. Yes the Ballistic 6000 and Tribute 6000 have the same handle

What is the difference between the green and the yellow Ballistic Canners ?. Is it the amount of carbon components ?

The sticker colour denotes the year the bat was retailed. I would assume the handle used in both were the same.

Great bats tho, top shape and pressed by the best
