Double hat-trick
Taking four wickets in four consecutive balls, so named because it consists of two overlapping hat-tricks.[citation needed] Former Hampshire player Kevan James is the only player in first class cricket's history to take a double hat-trick and score a century in the same match, achieved against India at Southampton in 1996. Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga is the only international player to have taken a double hat-trick, against South Africa in the 2007 world cup.

By that logic, for a score of 101 a batsman could claim 2 tons  8)

what does that make Brian Lara's 501 then?
I will email cricinfo later, but I am not sure I can sit comfortably with the idea that 4 wickets in 4 balls as a "double hatrick"
for me that will remain 6 wickets in an over/6 balls.

Next thing you'll be telling us that the wickets are supposed to go in front of the score!

I remember malinga's efforts, it was portrayed on the news here as 4 in 4... Must be a difference in culture!

Haha thanks for the shout out skipper. Bit of luck in it! Think the 4 overs I bowled before that and got 0/20 were much better than the over that bagged 5 lol.

No idea why they call it a double hatrick here, they do in south Africa too, so im sure it'll make its way to the UK eventually :-P

and is 5 a triple hattrick?
