New Dynadrive
« on: December 16, 2012, 10:36:58 AM »

Seeing as Buzz is asking for pictures of new bats, I thought I'd put up a few pictures of the results of my visit to IJC on Friday.  I also purchased a V1200 bag, of which I'll try and review later in the week

The bat weighs in at 2.9lbs, although the pick up on it is between 2.7 and 2.8.  Edges measure 40mm, with the spine height about 50mm.  There are a few blemishes on it, but nothing that should take away from the performance of the bat, especially as it taps up beautifully on the mallet.

Looks nice but think they should make the stickers in the scoops tie in a bit better as cheapens the overall look....the old ones used to be painted :(

I forgot to add in needs a little more knocking in, which makes the ping even more impressive!

I'm inclined to agree with you on that Tom, but as long as it goes well I'll let GN off!

GN have done the retro bats really well. I got the scoop and would love a Dynadrive. The stickers could have been done better though agreed.

I'm by no means a batsman as I've averaged between 18 and 25 for the last few seasons but wondering why we all bother buying top bats like this. We all do it, myself included. Looking at Charlie's scores for the season was it worth the outlay when a 10 quid sports direct Kashmir bat would have scored the same number of runs. In no way a complaint, just a query.

I think this bat will make all the difference next season Mr Death...!

I had a crap season last season true (as admitted elsewhere on this forum), buts that was more down to me making changes to my technique and getting zero consistency due to the weather, not too sure what that has to do with me buying kit tho?

I am thinking about removing the stickers and painting the scoops, true retro style...

Top idea. The chequered band of stickers are a big miss too.

This is one of the most bizarre comments I have ever seen on this forum.  For so many reasons... Charlie, you've done well to keep a cool head after reading this - I certainly wouldn't have done!

The fact that more time has been spent commenting on these stickers than any other feature of the Dynadrive on here worries me a little.  Yes, they're not the most perfectly applied bat stickers in the world, but let's face it, not that many bat stickers are.  I don't understand why this keeps getting mentioned as the main talking point every time the Dynadrive comes up...

Haha!!! Why buy a car when you can save yaself a few quid and get a bike....or a skateboard! Will still get you from A to B at a fraction of the cost :)

The stickers on my own Dynadrive are immaculate, but I agree there are some ropey ones out there
