Haha I don't really know what made me want one. Probably because I never saw one in any shops made me assume it was better than any of the other Slazenger bats

Ok here's a bat which I bet not many folk would have heard of, a Duncan Fearnley Classic. Basically a big colt. I had one of these.
what I really wanted was a Fearnley 405 or a Rapier as I loved the sword sticker on the spine.

Ah yes the 405! Had the pads, never the bat. Remember the Rapier as well now - blue on the graphics somewhere?

I had a SS 333 turbo as well that was lovely. A harrow I think. Bought it for a tenner from a school uniform shop bargain bin!

From my youth I would have liked any SP bat, probably a Master, the flat back model and a Newbery Excalibur

GM Diamond - one of the opening bats had one, I used to think it was the best thing ever

Good call.  The old GM's were lovely (unlike the current ones, sadly)

I reckon for me it was quite a few,

Kookaburra Bubble, probably because Alec Stewart used one. Although I think these were made by Crown Sports especially for Alec.
Millichamp and Hall Signature
Gunn & Moore Autograph, as used by the likes of Steve Waugh, before I realised that these were probably millichamp bats.
Gray Nicolls Optimum, as used by Robin Smith.

Surely the Elite or Ultimate instead?
