Aimed at the bat makers or anyone in the know..... What would it cost a company to get their bat in the hands of an England Player? Would it be financially worth it in terms of the sponsorship deal and sales following...?

�20k+ for an established bowler. �100k+ for a batsman.

And if the player stays fit, bats well, scores runs then it can be financially viable. But it's a gamble.

i believe that that guide would be for county players National players get payed quite a bit more.

Bowlers get endorsements from shoe companies and other fitness aids aswell (I think)

Nah, I reckon Tom's figures are about right - the two borderline internationals I know both get around 25k a year in gear sponsorship.

Or you might be able to kit out a visiting touring side player for even less.

We're talking about low profile players for low profile teams, but it's still good exposure.

I've seen FusionSports and H4L gear being used in test matches in the uk and I'm guessing neither paid out the money mentioned.

Thats probably true - didn't Brendon Nash use a Smasher or something similar in Tests as well?

Unfortunately most people watch cricket for good batting, a lot of people don't give a hoot about bowlers. That and you can't really put a massive sticker on a bowlers arm to show how much their gear helps bowling.
