£20k+ for an established bowler. £100k+ for a batsman. And if the player stays fit, bats well, scores runs then it can be financially viable. But it's a gamble.

Unfortunately most people watch cricket for good batting, a lot of people don't give a hoot about bowlers. That and you can't really put a massive sticker on a bowlers arm to show how much their gear helps bowling.
