Was just about to say the same thing.

Is anyone else getting fed up with all the dodgy members we have been getting recently?

It hasn't you just have to choose what you listen to and who you talk to.

The good people are still on here honest but some treat it like a one shop market place now

Still think the forum is a great place.

Some of these con-artists deserve a right good kicking.

It's only going to get worse as this forum continues it's march towards being a bring and buy sale for cricket gear as opposed to a forum for debate!  Like Dave says though, pick your business associates wisely, do your homework, don't believe half of what you read and it will all be fine!  :D

not all us newbies are bad :).. Well Buzz thinks I am but hopefully he's the only one :)

Just limit sales to sales threads. Have zero postings about business on debate threads. That way if you want to risk it you visit the sales threads, if you are here for deals then visit the forum sponsors threads in their sections. If you want the debates, just steer clear.

I'm not sure that newcomers realise the attention to detail of members. As admin, there is a limi to what we can spot at the registration level, and your attention to detail is always appreciated...

What also seems the norm now adays is people having a pop too easily. The lad asked if the bat was real or not. Wasn't trying to sell it. Surely we need to be a bit more welcoming and offer our worldly advise. Not jump down people's throats.

It's amazing how many times this bat has popped up (if it is indeed the same bat) if so then you have to question how it found its way in to the hands of the current owner.

There's still plenty of trustworthy people on here, it's just the minority that spoil it for everyone.

puts me off posting things up for sale myself and buying things, dont want to be branded as just using its for selling, or risk getting scammed

like its been mentioned, have to be very careful. other the past year i've been on the forum its become very clear to me who are the decent honest people and best to deal with.

i for one have been guilty for having a pop a few times, its just built up over time and unfortunately come out. i apologise

love it here

Give Tom about 20 minutes looking and he will get to the bottom of this!

All seems a little fishy with the deletion of the other pictures!

This whole thread is strange

If I wanted to know what series my screaming cat was I'd look on their website

In most cases I would agree, it can be quite an intimidating place to 'pop' into. In this particular case the evasiveness of his answers whether intentional or not only lend credence to the thought that he is fully aware of the history of this bat and has been 'rumbled' If he bought it through legitimate channels he wouldn't have to ask these questions would he? It may just be that he is guilty of being foolish but that is no defence! (Well, it might be in Pakistan but I'm pretty sure it's not in the UK!)

Does Julian put series 1 stickers on other bats?
