How's that for a debut, justin brathwaite 42 off 16 in his first innings.
West Indies seem to have talent but they never field their best XI for whatever reason.

There are quite a few Braithwaites, lets hope this guy is a bit more entertaining than the one who played test cricket hey!

Nah, still wasnt their best xi. Lost an odi series in bangladwsh too. Score more in t20s than they do in odis. Some good things came of the odi series though, samuels is looking better with every innings and pollard is shaping up to be the next gayle. Though they won the worldt20 they have some way to go, like clive loyd said they have the ingredients to be the worlds no1 odi side and that should be their next aim.

Jake, do you know which GN chanderpaul is using? I don't recognise it.

Looks to me like a Predator, an Ignite, a Viper, or maybe even a Gladius if anyone remembers that?

Shiv is notorious for using soiled old gear. Im amazed he's got relevant Powerbow gloves on, he usually wears those old Blue ones!

He used a Powerbow last time he was in the UK.

CC & X 73/6 from 17 overs against T&T, K Cooper 3/5 from 2 overs, Dwayne Bravo giving nothing away. Let Pollard and Bravo open and they game will be over in 6 overs max!

In the earlier game Jamaica got thrashed by Barbados with some top performances by the two Brathwaites (there are like 5 -_-)

SS told us in June that his contract expired at the end of 2012 and that it would not be renewed, so this was expected.

He's had plenty of time to get a new sponsor lined up, so im guessing both the reason he was let go by SS and the reason he hasnt got a new deal is because he wants too much dosh!

But isn't he one of the biggest t20 players at the moment? (By reputation) surely he could fetch a big buck! He's definitely finding the middle right now ;)

Im guessing sponsors are being a bit picky and want as much exposure as possible, look at Matt Prior, doesn't really play any short format stuff, not regularly at least. Cant get a deal and rumoured to want big bucks. I think there are brands out there willing to pay, but they want to see their product used in all 3 formats of the game. Pollard is yet to play a test, so perhaps the same reasons apply?

Weren't  gm on faf long before his test debut? Anyway whatever the reason perhaps pollard should ask for a bit less! 29 off 14 last game 44 off 17 in this one! That said standard of cricket in WI os lower

Indeed they were, but then again he doesn't strike me as the type of bloke to ask for silly money, Pollard does!
