What is your ideal bat weight?
« on: January 12, 2013, 06:14:17 PM »

This will be interesting to know as every bat for sale lately from sponsors seems to be around 2-8 with the magic 40mm edges.

If you could vote and post with what your using please

I currently use around 2-11 to 2-12 but I am hoping my new bat arrives around 2-9.

Used to use 2.11/2.12 when I was younger, I'm more of a 2.8/2.9 man these days. Don't really mind the edge or spine height.

If it picks up right im not too fussed by weight, but most of my bats are 2'9

I used to use bats that were a little heavier, but due to now playing at a higher level than ever before and facing the odd pretty tasty bowler, i cant really have a big heavy club as some of the bouncers are not pleasant!

Around 2.11-2.12. I would love to go a little lower, for better batspeed, but I don't really face anyone that troubles me too much in terms of pace! :-[ (Also, a lot of my bats I have already bought at that weight, so best not change my mind now! :D)

Use bats around 2.8/2.9. Just find anything too heavy slows my shots down too much.

However as I use harrow length bats the profile is often bigger for that weight.

Always opted out for 2.9-2.11ish, however, have got two bats now which are 2.6/2.7 naked and think thats ideal.

2.7. 2.8 at the very most.
Cant get the bat up fast enough for pull shots if its too heavy.

Always used a 2lb 14 bat until Bulldog. Now use 2lb 11.

I currently use a bat around 2.8 but my next bat will be a little heavier, somewhere between 2.9 - 2.10
