a bad run of form is hardly an indication of ability, everyone has a bad run at some point. Give the girl a chance, I'm sure she won't set the world alight but hopefully she does well and promotes women's cricket. At the end of the day, the more women that play the more men will, so it's all good.

I want to play woman's cricket the stream must run both ways

Taylor is a classy player there no doubt about that there certainly is the same technique quality in woman's cricket just lack the power although most hit harder than us

which of those women would get us lot out? are you that bad?
i cant help but feel people are being far too diplomatic/sitting on the fence over this issue. I watched the other day, a leg side ball, at 65mph and it looked to quick for her and went for 4 wides, she barely moved, add another 15mph on to that and what chance does she have? thats just her keeping. she hasnt scored a run against 65mph bowling attacks

Well I'm not very good that's why I don't knock internationals whatever sex as I've seen a few women that were very very good but I suppose your a budding county 1st xi player so would see off brunt who is around 70-75mph and perry who is same with ease in a World Cup pressure cooker with a crowd in

Just so you don't feel intimidated as sponsors are allowed an opinion ill use my normal account

Yes your entitled to your opinion and more power to you but if she was not good enough for men's cricket then a brum prem team would not be asking her to play as that's a good league but I'm sure your playing a better standard of ecb prem cricket avg 40+ never failing ??

Don't be petty, mate. He's equally entitled to his opinion, which is what he is giving. Personally, I've seen women batters give some high-quality men's bowlers the run-around, and having seen Sarah bat in the flesh I reckon she'd do a fantastic job. And the way you gave your view in your first post today it seemed like you were telling us exactly how it would be, do you reckon you'd be able to get her out?

I stated my opinion that I dont think she would cut it in mens cricket, specifically county 2nd's which maybe I should have stated. Could i get her out? yeh I'd fancy a crack at bowling to her, a good challenge either way. I know for a fact my girlfriend has bowled at her, and got her out previously, and she's no superstar.

and if the pressures been too much for her in the world cup, there will be plenty of pressure on if she ever plays for sussex
