We've signed Ben Hillard, young aussie think about 20, plays for Frankston Peninsula in Victoria Premier league, top order batsmen. Last 2 aussies have been awesome for us so he has big shoes to fill. Living with my girlfriends sister which should be an experience for him. The club pay £50/week to wherever he lives, pay his flights, and get him a bit of work. they usually help out with juniors a bit, pay no match fee's, get shirt, hat, tracksuit and thats it. No money for performances

Probably thinking more along the lines of John or Dave. Our scorer has a hard enough time spelling typical English names let along a count down conundrum!

I was an overseas for your last english summer. (I'm from Melbourne too) Pretty much had the same deal as this. Was a great experience.

We have an overseas who used to go to Eton, our club takes one South African from Eton each year and puts them in a squad, last year, we had one such kid, only 17 at the time, he got us promoted single handedly to TVCL div 1 got almost 1000 runs or the season at over 100 at the time. We persuaded him to come back as his student visa had run out now currently trialing with Glamorgan, playing in their second 11, for only 18 he is amazing! He worked a bit last year in a few pubs and stayed with a member of the first team, doing the same again minus the working from what I've been told
