Just seen the Animal glue on the splice in 3rd pic from bottom. I'd bank on it being a Keeley made bat.

Thank you for the intelligence, Tom. I have passed the bat on to a cricketing friend of mine at mates rates and he will be pleased to know that this is the likely source. Certainly felt a quality bat in terms of pick up and balance, in addition to the visuals. My friend, who has been playing over 30 years, liked it immediately. The crack should be repairable to get a good season out of it.
