This bat is the one Dean had in the for sale section a while back. He had a few sticks in his bag for us all to have a go with at the Shrewsbury net, so I decided to take a punt on this butterfly bat that was rejected by Mr Fisher. Mr Fisher was mad for rejecting this, it's an absolute cannon lol.
Used this in 3/4 nets now and it's sounding very nice.
I was a bit dubious of what it would be like when I bought it, admittedly I normally like a clean blade with around 8-10 grains. But this has really changed my mind on blemished/stained bats. It's not all about the grains and clean blades if you want something to perform. I think this is only going to get better. Goes extremely well in the nets as I say, forgiving middle, and a nice pick up
Weight is 2'9 3/4,
Mid middle does extend quite low which the profile doesn't suggest.
36mm edge at the highest point 56/57mm spine
5/6 grains with a big ass butterfly stain around the middle of the blade, and one on the back of the toe.
Was finished extremely well too, even though it had been floating around in Dean's bag for a while.
Will definitely be in the bag for match days next year.
Apologies the pictures aren't the best
