Yeah the profile on the L &W Ultra's is huge. I think they were released after Gray Nic introduced the e41 range (I could be wrong). The big differnence is spine height. Neither of my e41's have a spine as large as the Laver.

I'm pretty sure they were released before the E41

Very very nice collection of bats

Can I ask why so many?
Surely there must be a favourite bat in that collection, that you find works for you?

Why do people buy vintage cars and keep them mint? For the love of it.

I am gutted to this day that the bat I scored my first ton with was stolen, with my kit, out of my garage when I was on holiday (A handpicked Newbery Mjolnir - before the SPS non-sense - when I was sponsored by them) - Oh and the ball I took 8-52 inc. a hattrick in a league game.

I know a player round here that has over 100 used bats in his garage from his first class/minor counties days. Never thrown a single one away.

A cricket bat is unlikely to appreciate in value, as is a vintage car.
But I appreciate that bats do have a sentimental value, I have a lovely gray nichs, that I would never part with

But,,this collection of stunning bats, appears hardly used?

100 bats in a garage??

Yep. Every bat he has ever used in his career.

REALLY good batsman too. I think the stats are he scored over 15000 FC/LA/Minor Counties runs so has been very, very busy in his time.

That only works out 150 runs per bat, that's the new standard set before I replace my stick then ;)

On that basis looks like I've got enough bats to last the next 10 years  :(

I must admit, to some serious bat lust, since joining this forum,
Gotta get an Aldred and maybe an ST bat, , ,
150 runs per bat should last me out my playing career!ha
