H4L Hellfire PRO
« on: March 08, 2013, 12:51:33 PM »

Just a quick note, got my H4L Hellfire Pro a couple weeks ago and she is all knocked in. Will give her a go next week in the nets and let you guys know how she goes. As i already have an Affinity Spectre with a low middle i requested a Hellfire PRO grade with a slightly higher middle in case i get some slightly bouncier pitches this coming season.

Overall im really impressed with the quality, finish and pressing. took quite a bit of knocking to harden up the edges but i think she is ready to use now. i applied a scuff sheet as well to make sure she lasts as long as possible and will do a video review for H4L as well..

thanks to the guys at H4L for sending me a quality product.

Any pics Jason and would H4L be also one of your batmakers in future depending on how it works out?

Like Tomtek uses Ayrtek bats lol. I think everybody likes to try something new, even if it's not there product. Tresco was wondering all over the place at the September trade show. He may of been a mongoose boy but he tried everybody elses bats while he was there!

i tried that in the beginning...kept all the best of the best bats for myself....then had 2 kids and ended up playing about 3 games of cricket over about 2 years so would go down to nets, one of my team mates would see my bats and offer me a couple hundred bucks for it....i figured what the hell...i have 50 more at home and would sell it on....

then when i got one from Affinity i kinda fell in love with it. and the same with the H4L and so im gonna go into the season with two bats i cant just quickly replace with the home stash and see if i can get through the season without selling them...it might be cause im spoiled for choice..lets hope i can hold onto them for more than a couple weeks.

all the rest of my kit is hammer.....just for now not the bats...the accolade of "best bats in the world " apparently goes to a different brand...:) i have one of their bats and wouldnt say they are the best by any stretch of the imagination. To say that "YOU " are the best is incredibly Ballsy and ludicrous...its a bowling machine bat now.

there are many awesome brands out there...Hammer, affinity and H4L to name a few and for me to come out and say that Hammer is the best and there is no need for anyone ( or myself ) to buy from anywhere else is silly. its silly to deny myself the pleasure of using other top quality brands. there are many out there and look forward to trying other top brands as well like Bulldog, fat bats, Blue room etc....all quality brands who maybe lack a loudmouth :) to do some shouting from the rooftops for them...

I imagine some Tempo's would fit well in the Hammer Brand  ;)

Yup, handmade LE but please keep LE as what its supposed be unlike someothers who start LE and then it never ends they keep churning out LE after LE to me it turns into ULE....

My first impressions of this bat were spot on. very nice. worth every penny...

I bought this bat after my Affinity spectre and i knew the spectre has a low sweetspot and wanted something for bouncier pitches with a higher sweetspot and that exactly what ive got. To my surprise though, lately with my 2.13 spectre in the nets ive been struggling with my timing a bit as the spectre is just plain heavy and i dont have the bat speed. its great against the quicker guys but its just to heavy for deft little flicks , late cuts and sweeps. So as the H4L has the higher sweetspot it also has the lighter pick up and today used it against the spinners and was much more comfortable even though the bat is also 2.12 +...didnt work as well against the yorkers as the affinity spectre but plying super late square of the wicket i felt much more comfortable against the spin.

thats good news as i was possible going to get myself a new 2.8 Vapen to play the spin...now dont have to worry about that as i think ive found my bat for the season to play the slower stuff...Overall an exceptional bat. As good as any Hammer , Affinity, GN legend, GM players edition , Laver and wood etc etc etc....

Its an awesome time to be a cricketer, we have so much choice and why limit yourself to one brand...i suggest buying a new brand every season..just for the fun of it. enjoy life.
