That's a point... I'd not even thought about that. Maybe should consider stability and long term comfort over weight alone.

On Jake's comment, what trainers would you normally buy? Neutral Cushioned or Supportive? That should guide your choice for Cricket footwear.

I usually buy whatever looks good tbh. Don't buy sports shoes for anything other than cricket. Don't have a specific requirement for support etc only thing I have to take into account is a wider fit.

As a flamboyant character like myself Pidge you should get the Pumas.  Only certain people can pull those off on a cricket field and me and you are two of those pal!

I've got the Asics for Xmas present, they are extremely light. They feel lighter than many of the trainers I've worn.

well RPC if you were to get out the shower and stand on a towel what sort of mark would be left

left- supportive
middle - neutral
right- cushioned
then with that this is the shoe type required for your feet as suggest by a few others.

I've used the Gel Advance 4's all season in Australia and love them!
Comparing them to the SL22's I used at home last year i found them a little less bulky, lower profile and lighter weight. Also crucially for when your chasing leather for a long day more comfortable!

I did not enjoy my Asics so I won't vote for them.

I deeply adore SL22 but that colour scheme does not do it for me.

So Puma gets the vote, I'm tempted to get them too as they are green so will match my kit.

Thanks for everything guys. It's looking like asics over the others and KEZ, I'm neutral on the bath mat so thanks for that as well  :D

Going Saturday to spend some serious time deciding. The asics gel 200no are now an option as well, memory foam insole just sounds too sexy to not at least try on.

And Tushar.... I think those flip flop guys may be onto a winner Hahahaha daft lad

Got this sorted on Saturday. And I've even shocked myself by what I got. None of the above mentioned and.not even this season's range either. I tried loads on from Nike, puma, asics, all the big footwear brands and I found these to not only be the most comfortable but also very supportive and light as well.

Just goes to show there are some lovely finds aound if you're willing to try them out. And I saved some serious brass as well which was a nice bonus . They may not be flash like I wanted or particularly special but I'm very happy. Will get some proper pics up later if anyones interested.

All three of the options are quite bright, however i would favour the adidas or pumas! I think the pumas looked better in last years colours but couldn't comment on performance. The adidas boots i only tried last year but they were comfy.

So in a roundabout way i think im getting at saying go for the adidas i like them in this seasons colours :)
