Softs look very similar to what is out there already. But for the price it is very well priced.

Interested to know if the bats are UK or Asian made.

It looks awful!

Bad photography, poor website, weak wording.
The website is a freebie! And the hits just keep on coming. If you're going to use a freebie, FGS don't publicize it!

I can only imagine a very small number of people using pink kit.
It's not a good look.

Fancy telling your customers that you don't back the venture and have enough faith it will fly. That's what he is saying.

And the name!

Dear oh dear.

I saw a guy at a net a couple of weeks ago with one of these and apparently it was his own company set up as part of a school business project or something like that. Bats were apparently sourced from Vanquish...this is based on a 5 minute convo when I was absolutely knackered so don't take it as gospel please!

Hi guys,

Just spotted this post and thought I'd fill you all in on the company!

You're right the company has been set up as part of my final year dissertation for my degree. I myself have played cricket since I have been able to pick up a bat so to set up my own company has always been a dream of mine (which I'm sure goes for a lot of us!).

Our bats are 100% English Grade 1 Willow, The willow comes (as always) from JS Wright and is handmade for us by our bat makers here in the UK (The bats are 100% English made and nurtured).

Our softs are all test grade and although similar to a number of other companies on the market the prices are much lower than these respective companies. It does state about this being my second career but this has no affect on the time and passion I have put into this! Cricket is and always will be my main passion so to say that I don't back my own venture and that the customers come second does seem slightly unfair! The reason I am selling the kit at the prices they are is for exactly that reason, so everybody gets the chance to afford the best kit and not just the more well off! My customers are the forefront of my company, I am not worried by making huge profits just supplying the best kit at the best prices.

If you have anymore queries about Neon please just drop me a message.

Thanks for the interest,
Adam

I like it! Softs look nice, bats very well priced, stickers are a bit bright but I stopped buying bats on what the stickers looked like when I was 14  ;)

All good for me!

Best of luck.

Dear oh dear.

Think you are being a bit harsh here. By looking at the softs I can say he has obviously sourced it from a supplier used by many of the 'boutique' brands on the forum and in the UK. He has also tried to source UK made bats instead of getting them from India.
If you hate the colours, designs, website and photography, pls feel free to rather provide constructive criticism or some real advice on how he can improve instead of just taking his work apart. This forum should be about promoting all things cricket related, let's keep it that way.

Good luck neon cricket, we've all got to start somewhere. Like others, you've shown enough drive and courage to start something new!

I am a fan, the pink is subtle enough for most people to consider softs wise.

Wish you all the best mate, be prepared to be nitpicked on the forum as there are a lot of very savvy people lurking on here, 99% of it will be constructive though!

Hope it goes well for you, certainly better than a lot of start up brands we see in my opinion, and for what it's worth, I think you have your pricing absolutley spot on
