Has @Bats_Entertainment ever posted anything constructive on here (or more than a one-liner for that matter...)

My Ashes selection thought process was proven right, I thought?

What is it you don't like about England players possibly using Kippax bats? You don't own one?

Who said I don't like Englnd players using Kippax bats?
You've put 2+2 together and made about 3,573 if that's the conclusion you came to...

You said earlier you wouldn't go back and look at Butler's bat as you deemed it "too sad" yet you're quite happy to revive threads from 2013 with information that's already been posted on another thread.
Dave also responded in a very dignified manner, but you took a dig at B3 out of the blue as well.

As the chances of me getting a constructive  answer to this are non-existent at best that's the last I'll post on the subject. I feel I've probably fed the troll too much already tonight...

Anyone else noticed that kippax bats over all length are 1cm shorter than a standard short handled bat? Seems like they are taking a leaf out of the Pakistani bat makers book and making shorter bats to help them reduce weight and increase size. Everyone of the new kippax bats I have seen have been shorter in over all length. One of the lads using a Kippax said it was custom made through the Yorkshire academy program so was shocked to see it was shorter than a standard short handle especially as he was 6ft 1, not sure this is the best way to help him develop his game.

Usually when that happens the handle is made longer to compensate. Was this not the case on this one?

unless you hold the handle right at the top it doesn't compensate at all.

Well it does. You just keep your top hand in the same position as you normally would (as in it has the same amount of wood poking out of the top) and it's exactly the same. I don't manoeuvre my hands so the bottom hand is the same distance from the shoulders of the bat.

Whether this affects the way the bat feels is another matter, but it would be the same length. I liken this to a mongoose bat, just not as extreme.

The issue I'd have with it is if they never mentioned the fact that the blade was shorter and handle slightly longer.

Kippax bats have shorter blade and longer handle, which is well known. But what can as a surprise to me is the overall length is 1cm shorter than a standard short handle bat. Everyone of the new kippax bats I have seen have been the same. Anyone else noticed this? Seems like they are copying off the Pakistani bat makers, in an effort to reduce weight and increase size.

Think that's the case for the colossus but isn't the pure blade full length? Have a mate who use a colossus, he's 6'6 and he doesn't notice it (plus to be fair he's a clean striker of a cricket ball so it absolutely flies!).

Surprised by the comments as I thought it was well known the blade is slightly shorter and the handle longer on the colossus. It's obvious as soon as you pick the bat up but imho shouldn't make much difference when you bat with it (haven't used it myself but use harrow length blades, then again I'm only 5'7).

As for omitting it from marketing of the bat, how many others do on there bats? The Joker bat was a harrow width and was never mentioned. Isn't the GM Mana a shorter blade as well, don't think it's mentioned. You don't get a big piece of wood without cutting some corners.

Agreed it is a well known fact the bat has a shorter blade and a longer handle. But what is not so well known is that the overall bat length is 1cm shorter. So same size as a CA cricket bat, which would make it a small mens or academy size bat. Producing bats like these for young players that are 6ft 1 is probably not going to help improve there game.

Nope, not good if you are 6'1! Never looked at the overall length, have they just cut the nobbly bit off the top? If that's the case I'd argue apart from counter balancing it didn't serve much use anyway, unless you use it to grip the handle.

The Aldred bat I have had this. The knob bit is easily half the size of all the other bats I have

Blade lengths should be advertsied in my opinion, but if the bat is the correct size overall it isn't a massive issue.

The suggestion is Kippax is shorter overall, which is something i expect to see from a CA when someone brings it in to have its shonky handled fixed.
