ok pics of the kook, not too happy as it has a crack about up the face of the blade nearly the length of the face. opinions please....

I would take it back to the shop and they will send it to Kookaburra and in my opinion this will be replaced. We had few issues with one or two Kookaburra last year and manged to get replacement for those bats

Regards

Asad

I think they will ask you to send it through the retailer, best is call first and check before sending it back direct to Kookaburra

I had my Recoil crack at the end of the season and they replaced it no problems with a Ricochet this year.  I went through the retailer though as that's what they normally ask you to do.  Took no time at all.

the only reason I would rather deal with kook direct, is because I cant get to serious cricket for a while and unless I send it to them and then they send it to kook but i'm sure that would take a while

Fair enough, however they will likely ask you to go through the retailer so they can confirm you bought it new and that it's not more than a year old etc

My advice is ring Kook. They will tell you if a receipt is enough, I would think.

So kookaburra reckon they're going to repair this and not replace it.

If so I imagine they'll just sand it flat and whack a new scuff on it.

Me too, can't say I'm overly impressed as I've only used it once!

So long as it doesn't impact performance you'll be grand. I it breaks there at a later date then you can always complain again and say the initial repair wasn't good enough.

Did you use it within two wweks of purchase?
if so the warrenty is invalid as it only kicks in from the 15th day onwards
