4 Piece Vs 2 Piece Cricket Ball
« on: April 01, 2013, 10:46:48 AM »

I know that most of us prefer to use 4 piece cricket ball. Why is the quality better of a 4 piece if the 2 piece on also has the same number of layers and inside material ? I am playing in a 20 over tournament where i bowled the last over in last 2 games. the ball was a 2 piece white leather ball and looked perfectly all right ? Just trying to understand the difference in quality from a manufacturing point of view.

I'm sure there are people who can answer this in much more detail but one point I've noticed from using two piece balls in colts cricket is that they do tend to break very easily.

Ive played all season with a 2 piece apart from 5 games, and a 2 piece swings a lot more, is more beneficial to a hard deck i believe, and i found harder to get used to but thats me
