Devon smiths bat today definately had a splice, was it not a mongoose bat? As if your splicing version is so beneficial why wouldnt he be using it?

Simpled explanation is that he has an inch longer blade on his bats due to him being taller, therefore the full splice cannot be put in the handle and there is a 'mini-splice' left. One of the Indian boys had the same and is in my ofice so will get a pic if there's chance.

that bat did not look like any mongoose i have seen - looked like a regular bat with mongoose stickers on, no doubt it will help boost sales though!

I believe the bat he's using is from the same batch as this one used in the promo materials for Dwayne, not 100% sure on that as he's not in the player pool I handle. But he's had 2 batches of bats made.

just out of interest - does the mongoose cor3 with it's 'mini-splice' offer greater returns in regards to shot-power than say a normal bat with a splice 1-2 inches longer? I got a feeling i know the answer to this question but i would like to know.

Sorry, don't know the answer to that one, haven't used it and don't have any stats on it being tested. Will find out though and try to get a definitive answer.

Haven't played this year in any games this year, been too busy and I've moved to London so yet to join a club down here. Netted a couple of times in Regent's Park and up at Middlesex Academy with them though.

Dwayne bought 4 of those bats he used yesterday, I wish he hadn't. Bog standard S/H used to great effect.

English made chevron grips.

Do anything for them, look after sales, production, sponsored players etc. No job description as such
