Looks like it will be pretty close to the original shape. Although the spine is a tad more prominent than the one wielded by baby Athers...

Specs look right up my alley. Oh dear, another bat I guess...  :-[

Same here and I definitely like the sound of 'fuller shape'

This bat is on my wish list. Only thing that bothers me is the handle isn't fully round the whole way but im sure i could get use to a semi-oval handle.

I just hope the new powerspot  has a more forgiving middle than the miniscule middle on the old one.  The Power Spot was just that,  a spot.

We have an original power spot in the clubs bat cupboard. Still gets used, and still goes like a gun!

The other comment I'd make is look at the bat that Mike Atherton is using in that picture, then look at the new version in the catalogue. Powerspots were always very thin and quite weedy looking bats, which can't be said of that new version!

Indeed, the new one definitely has a bit more junk in the trunk!

When the Powerspot was introduced in 1981, it was marketed as a "chunky" bat, to compete  against the DF Magnum.

they were definately a more traditional profile back then. I've got one in the garage and it looks very weedy compared to my modern dynadrive, but then chunky bats are the "in" thing at the moment. Not so keen on the look of this tbh - might just get my original powerspot repaired and refurbed and use it next season!!!

Anyone know when the new gray nicolls range of bats come out. Intrigued to see what they've got after seeing Peter Tregos twitter and hearing they're bringing back the powerspot

Does anyone know whether the Powerspot will be in Australia in time for the 2013/14 season? I'd love to have a look at one, used to have one as a kid, great memories!

New Aus Legend looks the part!
