yesterday the oppositions opener had a brand new Affinity Cricket Bat, looked really nice.  Did not get to see it being use for long, as he top edged our quick bowler to gully for 0.

one of there bowlers was "Mr SAF kit", pads, bat, gloves, bat cover, bag and even a SAF hoodie.  Looked a bit naff, but I wished I had them all.

Our captain has hit two fifties in the past two games with his New CF prem and the bat is not even started to open up yet, it is going to be a real gun.

I'm actually quite surprised as to how many "old" bats are still being used on a regular basis!

Forgot to mention that a few players on the opposition were using Aedos gear, which seemed to be alright! Loads of Kookaburra stuff as well - apparently their pro's old sponsor or something.

At the weekend the opposition included a lovely looking GN Nitro, loads of grains, sounded great too (as he deposited two balls on the pavilion roof).  Also a very nice GM Catalyst.

Highlight of the week was last night in a T20.  We had a new guy playing for us, showed a lot of interest in my B3 as I waited to go in to open.  He came in as I was out with a pair of CF pads and gloves and what looked to be a brand new Newbery, but with the stickers from the 80s (a la Mike Gatting).  Clearly refurbed superbly, just a mystery as to where he got the retro stickers - it looked brand new!

I was going to ask him about it but he was not in the best of moods after being run out!
